KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />STUDY SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: May 29, 2018 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve the Resolution to Award <br />the 2018 Annual Paint Stripe Program <br />Contract. <br />BACKGROUND: The Department of Public Works solicited bids <br />for the 2018 Annual Paint Stripe Program in <br />accordance with RCW 39.04.155, Small Works <br />Roster Contract Procedures. Sealed Bids were <br />opened on May 23, 2018. <br />Two (2) bids were received for the prescribed <br />work. The lowest responsive bid was from <br />Stripe Rite, Inc., in the amount of $246,121.70. <br />The second bid from Transblue LLC is <br />considered non-responsive because the <br />Proposal was not signed. <br />The Engineer's Estimate is $250,342.70. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works <br />RECOMMENDATION: Motion to approve the Resolution to Award <br />the 2018 Annual Paint Stripe Program Contract <br />and authorize the Director of Public Works to <br />sign said contract documents. <br />HANDLING: Return a copy of the Resolution to Public <br />Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution <br />Bid Tabulations <br />LEAD STAFF: Sara Folk <br />Engineering Services Manager <br />
