BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OP KIT"fITAS <br />SFATI OFWASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2018 - <br />TITLE: A RESOLI"TIO\ PROHIBITING FEDERAL HIGHWAY ADMINISTRATION <br />TRUCK CLASS 4 AND ABOVE ON FOWLER CREEK ROAD AT MILE POST 8 <br />ENDING AT THF. END OF PASCO ROAD, FROM APRIL 9, 2018 UNTIL .IUNE 18, <br />2018 <br />WHEREAS: Revised Code of Washington 35.75.270 allows local government to prohibit <br />various classes of vehicles from traveling on local roadways during adverse <br />climatic conditions: and <br />WHEREAS: Fowler Creek Road is currently experiencing heaving frost conditions along with <br />significant moisture from melting snow and rain; and <br />WHEREAS: County roadways are not sufficiently constructed to accommodate Federal <br />Highway Administration (FHWA) truck Class 4 and above at this time without <br />significant damage to roadway surfaces and base construction: and <br />WHEREAS: unfavorable environmental conditions are expected to last until mid-June 2018: <br />NOW, THEREFORE 13E IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public, does hereby prohibit FHWA Class 4 and above truck traffic from <br />using Fowler Creek Road (VIP 8) to the end of Pasco Road from April 9, 2018 until June 18, <br />2018. <br />DATED this 9th day of April. 2018, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />Clerk of Phe Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KI'1"f1TAS COCNTY.
