KITTITAS COUNTY <br />PUBLIC WORKS STUDY SESSION MINUTES <br />COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM, 205 WEST 5TH ROOM 109 - ELLENSBURG <br />Regular Meeting <br />MONDAY <br />1:30 PM <br />February 26, 2018 <br />Board members present: Vice -Chairman Obie O'Brien; Commissioner <br />Paul Jewell <br />Others: Mark Cook, Jim VanDeVenter, Candie Leader, Public Works; <br />Dan Carlson, Stephanie Mifflin, Lindsey Ozbolt, Community <br />Development Services; Undersheriff Clay Myers, Sheriff's Office; <br />John Sinclair, Kittitas Valley Fire and Rescue; Kayla Bonar, <br />Daily Record <br />REQUEST TO APPROVE A RESOLUTION TO AUTHORIZE THE CHAIRMAN'S <br />SIGNATURE ON FORMAL TASK ORDER NUMBER 008 SUPPLEMENT NUMBER 1 <br />WITH KPFF CONSULTING ENGINEERS <br />At 2:13 pm Vice -Chairman Obie O'Brien opened the Public Works <br />Study Session. Mark Cook requested to add one item to the <br />agenda - NOTAM Filing. <br />Mark Cook stated that before the Board of County Commissioners <br />is a task order for the No. 6 Road Bridge replacement project to <br />modify the existing plan set to move guardrail and accommodate <br />Ellensburg Water Company's structure. This task order adds an <br />additional amount of $7,850.00 for the modifications. <br />Commissioner Jewell moved to approve Resolution 2018-034 <br />authorizing Chairman's signature on Formal Task Order Number 008 <br />Supplement Number I with KPFF Consulting Engineers. <br />Commissioner O'Brien seconded with said motion passing_ <br />GRANT COUNTY PUD ACCESS REQUEST <br />Mark Cook stated he was approached by Grant County PUD with a <br />request to obtain additional site access at the Vantage Boat <br />Ramp. Mark Cook gave background on the property, including the <br />maintenance and ongoing issues with the restroom facility. Mark <br />Cook continued that he has met with Grant County PUD regarding <br />the issues with the restroom facility, which includes repairs to <br />the doors. Public Works staff would like to construct a wind <br />wall around the restroom facility to help cut down on repair <br />costs. This facility sees increased use during the summer <br />months and as a rest area by I-90 travelers. Currently, the <br />2018-02-26 MINUTES <br />
