COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />Tuesday 2:00 PM January 9, 2017 <br />Board members present: Laura Osiadacz, Obie O'Brien, Paul Jewell <br />Others: Patti Johnson, Lisa Lawrence, Jill Scheffer, Tim Egan, <br />Clay Meyers and Kayla Bonar <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />Meeting called to order at 2:06pm <br />COMMISSIONERS <br />Patti Johnson informed the Board that the free Christmas Tree <br />Program will continue through the end of January. <br />Patti informed the Board that Solid Waste lost a 3,4 time position <br />and would be posting for a full time position this week to get <br />back to full staff. <br />Patti informed the Board she has received an estimate for <br />drilling a well at Ryegrass. Discussion was held on the issue of <br />cleaning the screens and the potential, depth of 850 - 900 feet <br />to drill a well at that site. Patti informed the Board that she <br />is still waiting on numbers for the overall cost to have water <br />on site. <br />Patti informed the Board that she is working with the -Consultant <br />and they should see a press release possibly be Friday adding <br />another site for the public to evaluate and make comments on <br />since the Airport Site is no longer an option. Discussion was <br />held on the new site, the siting process and that the length of <br />the comment period for the public remaining the same for the <br />added site. <br />Patti informed the Board that McKinstry had not got back to her <br />with the information for the HVAC in the Jail. She is hoping to <br />have the information by Friday. <br />Patti informed the Board the backup power system in the new Jail <br />failed and is looking at options for replacement. Discussion was <br />held on the cost of the maybe 5 year old system and that the <br />Board would be seeing numbers soon for replacement of the unit. <br />
