Cook <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />Direct that staff docket the lease amendment with Central Washington university for <br />Board action on December 19, 2017. <br />BREIFINC SUMMARY: <br />• Public Works (PW) solicited for limited fixed base operator (FBO) services at <br />Bowers Field for two consecutive weeks in November, 2017. <br />• A single responder provided a listing of services and associated costs (Central <br />Washington university, CWU). <br />• The Board recently directed acceptance of CWU's proposal (EXHIBIT 1) with <br />two reductions: vending machine and rental car support. <br />• The cost of limited FBO services is now S30,500 per year. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The assignment of Midstate Aviation's lease to Central Washington university <br />(November, 2016) put FBO services on a termination deadline (November, 2017). <br />Recognizing the need for continuing FBO services, PW solicited for proposals during <br />two weeks this past November. One proposal was received from Central Washington <br />UniversitY. <br />_DISCUSSION: <br />Recently, the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC) directed staff to amend the lease <br />with CWU accepting their limited FBO proposal with two deletions: vending machine <br />and rental car support.
