COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />COMMISSIONERS' AUDITORIUM <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />FRIDAY 9:00 AM NOVEMBER 13, 2015 <br />Board members present: Chairman Gary Berndt, Vice-Chairman Obie <br />O’Brien, Commissioner Paul Jewell <br />Others: Regional Library Board Members: Debby DeSoer, Ellensburg <br />Library, Jane Agar, Cle Elum Library, Charlene Wilkes, Kittitas <br />Library, Erin Krake, Roslyn Library, WSU Extension Director Tip <br />Hudson, Public Works Director Mark Cook, Finance System Manager <br />for Public Works Kathy Jurgens, Public Health Director Robin <br />Read, Fiscal Analyst from Public Health Kaitlyn Reddick, Budget <br />& Finance Manager Judy Pless <br />SPECIAL MEETING COMMISSIONERS <br />2016 Preliminary Budget Discussion <br />Regional Library, WSU Extension, All Departments, Public Works, <br />Public Health <br /> <br /> <br />Regional Library 9:00am <br />Debby DeSoer, Jane Agar, Charlene Wilkes and Erin Krake were <br />available for the 2016 preliminary budget discussion regarding <br />the regional library. The proposal submitted was $151,780 <br />however it should be $158,885. The 2016 proposed was as follows: <br />Cle Elum, $21,760.00; Ellensburg $100,000.00, Kittitas <br />$7,000.00; Roslyn $23,625.00; Summer Reading $1,500.00; ILS <br />Project $5,000.00. <br /> <br />Discussion was had regarding the best way to submit the <br />request/allocation. Discussion was also had regarding keeping <br />the BOCC informed at the start of projects and coordination <br />between all libraries. It was requested that the BOCC response <br />be sent to all cities councils. <br /> <br /> <br />WSU Extenstion <br />Tip Hudson presented the 2016 preliminary departmental budget. <br />Professional services reduced as WSU is bearing the full cost of <br />the 4H, Family and Youth Development position. <br />
