18.0 MEASUREMENT; <br />18.1 Bid Item (1) shall be full payment for the design, Fabricating, Finishing and Transporting of a <br />14 foot X 90 foot Steel Modular Bridge, containing an all -bolted splice located at the 30 <br />foot/60 foot location Including Safety Rail — Complete with Two Foundation Systems and all <br />hardware to Kittitas County Public Works. The finished product shall have all necessary <br />connections and be manufactured in a manner that the bridge and its section can be <br />deployed as one 90 foot unit or separately as one 30 foot unit and one 60 foot unit, <br />19.0 PAYMENT <br />19.1 Payment will be provided by Kittitas County in accordance with the Laws of the State of <br />Washington which are hereby incorporated by reference. <br />19.2 The Washington State Department of Revenue has issued special rules on the State sales <br />tax. The Bridge Manufacturer should contact the Washington State Department of Revenue <br />for answers to questions in this area. The Contracting Agency will not adjust its {payment if <br />the Bridge Manufacturer bases a bid on a misunderstood tax liability. <br />19.3 The Bid Proposal shall include all paid taxes in the unit bid prices. <br />19.4 Kittitas County is exempt from all Federal Excise Tax. <br />19.5 Prospective bidders are advised that following contract award Local Agency Payment and <br />Performance bonds shall be submitted to Kittitas County, sample documents have been <br />included for reference. <br />20.0 EXECUTION OF CONTRACT <br />20.1 The Successful bidder will be required to enter into a local agency contract; a sample <br />contract has been included for reference. <br />
