DISCUSSION.
Public Works strategy working with Jacobs is the only contracting strategy likely
to meet the Compressed planning timelines identified by Community
Development Services. Our understanding of transportation models has enabled
the consultant to significantly streamline the planning process. Transportation
elements generally take ten to twelve months to produce. We are anticipating a
draft element by early July 2017.
FISCAL IMPACTS:
Public Works budgeted $100,000 for this effort in 2017. The negotiated scope of
work value is $111,850. Public Works does not anticipate any difficulty meeting
the additional $11,850 obligation within its adopted 2017 budget.
ATTACHMENTS:
Exhibit 1: Jacobs Task Order No. 4
PUBLIC WORKS BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WORK SESSION STAFF REPORT
