792 -CH COURTHOUSE UNION <br />PRFOMRI F <br />This Agreement is made pursuant to the provisions of RCW 41.56, by and between <br />KITTITAS COUNTY ASSESSOR, AUDITOR, BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS, CLERK, <br />TREASURER, UPPER AND LOWER COUNTY DISTRICT COURTS AND SUPERIOR COURT, <br />hereinafter referred to as the Employers, and Council 2, Washington State Council of <br />County and City Employees, Local 792CH, hereinafter referred to as the Union. <br />The parties hereto desire to establish the standards of hours of labor, rates of pay, and <br />other conditions under which the covered employees shall work for the Employers, and <br />desire to regulate the mutual relations between the parties hereto during the term of <br />the Agreement. <br />It is being specifically understood and agreed that all provisions herein are subject to <br />existing laws, and if any provision is held or found to be in conflict with the law relating <br />thereto, said provision shall be void and shall not bind either of the parties thereto. <br />ARTICLE I - RECOGNITION <br />The Employer recognizes the Union as the certified exclusive bargaining representative <br />for all regular full-time, regular part-time, and limited part-time employees in the <br />departments and positions listed in the Appendices and Addendums to this agreement <br />for the purpose of collectively bargaining with respect to wages, hours and working <br />conditions. <br />EXCLUDED from the unit are all elected officials, confidential employees, supervisors, as <br />defined by RCW 41.56.030, and any other employee classification not listed above. <br />ARTICLE II - MEMBERSHIP <br />It shall be a condition of employment that all employees of the Employer covered by <br />this Agreement who are members of the Union in good standing on the effective date of <br />the Agreement shall remain members in good standing and those who are not members <br />on the effective date of the Agreement shall, on the thirtieth day following the effective <br />date of the Agreement, become and remain members in good standing in the Union. <br />It shall also be a condition of employment that all employees covered by this Agreement <br />and hired on or after its effective date shall, on the thirtieth day following the beginning <br />of such employment become and remain members in good standing in the Union. <br />Page 1 <br />
