The Consultant will survey the
sites, perform geotechnical investigations, perform hydraulic studies on each stream, design the roadway
and new structure, and prepare the contract documents. This project is being funded by the Federal Land
Access Program.
LAND SURVEYING
Gray and Osborne will perform the land survey.
Topographic Survey
Objective: To supplement existing site survey supplied by the FHWA. At Site 2.43 the work shall include
150' additional downstream survey. At Site 4.07 the work shall include additional survey both 200'
upstream and 200' downstream.
Re-establish vertical and horizontal control provided by others for survey and mapping at a scale of
1 "=20' horizontal. Control shall be referenced to and full reliance will be placed on the previous
work supplied to Sargent Engineers by the FHWA.
Aoquire topographical cross sections approximately 50 feet apart extending beyond where the
existing surveys terminate.
Acquire topographical survey of the thalweg of the stream channels at intervals of 15 to 20 feet.
Provide electronic survey data in Civi131) 2014 format containing survey points with descriptions,
lines, layers, grade lines, and symbols provided by Gray & Osborne, Inc.
Right of Way Determination
Acquire public "records of survey", plat maps, assessor maps, "as-builts", County Engineering
plans, etc. as may be available.
Physically re -locate and ground proof available FHWA project control in the vicinity of each of the 4
project sites and "as -built" the physical centerline location of the roadway surface.
Research and tie into available subdivision or boundary information in the vicinity of the projects as
may be available and helpful in retracing Right of Way.
Provide electronic Right of Way data in Civil3D 2014 format containing right of way margins and
pertinent notes on survey methodology.
Services not included under this task
• Any services associated with acquisition of property or staking of right of way.
Any services associated with completing or filing record of survey or boundary line adjustment
maps.
s Preparing legal descriptions or exhibits for Easements and/or right of way acquisition,
Teanaway Road is a rural County road and does not contain Right of Way monumentation.
