BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2016 <br />WHEREAS: The Lodge Creek Culvert at Via Kachess Road has failed and is currently <br />eroding the roadway; and <br />WHEREAS: The current staffing level in Public Works does not support design of the culvert <br />replacement using County Public Works staff at this time; and <br />WHEREAS: The culvert blocks the only access to a local fire station and approximately 40 <br />single family residences; and <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas Board of County Commissioners has declared a local emergency <br />recognizing the immediate need to start design of the Lodge Creek Culvert <br />replacement; and <br />WHEREAS: A current engineering consultant (Jacobs) working with Public Works has <br />immediate ability supporting necessary design and support services; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best <br />interest of the public, does hereby authorize the Director to sign contract documents with <br />Jacobs for immediate design and support services replacing the failed Lodge Creek culvert at <br />Via Kachess Road. <br />�®r '2,!j�h day of April, 2016, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Jr' 0 <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />AL - � <br />sCb <br />UN7y W Psi` ��`���`` <br />Obie O'Brien, Chairman <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />O'Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />Pau Jewell, ice -Chairman <br />ABSENT <br />Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner <br />
