BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2016 -j59 <br />WHEREAS: The culvert at Lodge Creek along Via Kachess Road has failed and is eroding <br />the roadway; and <br />WHEREAS: Via Kachess Road is the only access for a local fire station and serves <br />approximately 40 single family homes; and <br />WHEREAS: Timely design and construction replacing the failed culvert is essential for <br />maintaining access to the Via Kachess community; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best <br />interest of the public, does hereby declare a local emergency supporting suspension of normal <br />bidding and procurement requirements allowing for expedited replacement of the Lodge Creek <br />culvert at Via Kachess Road. <br />DATED this 25th day of April, 2016, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />��� <br />,.,`��J�� �.
