<br />12/20/2016 MINUTES 7 <br /> <br /> <br />EASEMENT CITY OF ELLENSBURG PUBLIC WORKS <br /> <br />Approve a Non-Exclusive Utility Easement between Kittitas County and the <br />City of Ellensburg for Tax Parcel #18-18-25068-0026 (955297), on a <br />portion of Lot C-26 of the Kittitas County Airport Binding Site Plan. <br /> <br />AMENDMENT VAN NESS FELDMAN, LLP CDS <br /> <br />Approve Amendment No. 4 to the Professional Services Agreement between <br />Kittitas County and Van Ness Feldman, LLP eliminating the names of <br />employees and replacing it with the names of the positions of Van Ness <br />Feldman, LLP employees when using their services. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 2016-176 2017 HOTEL/MOTEL TAX FUND GRANTS COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />Approve Resolution No. 2016-176, Adopting the Distribution of the 2017 <br />Hotel/Motel Tax Fund Grants for Special Events and Projects, noting the <br />following designation amounts: Kittitas County $172,787.00; Ellensburg <br />$34,303.00; Cle Elum $7,920.00 and Roslyn $1,980.00. <br /> <br />ADMINISTRATIVE MATTERS - NONE <br /> <br />CITIZEN COMMENTS ON NON-AGENDA ITEMS <br /> <br />Susan Grindle, HopeSource Executive Director, provided an annual report <br />on the success of the Senior Rent Assistance program. In 2016 the <br />program ensured that 22 seniors were protected from homelessness. The <br />reviewed the criteria for services which are age and income. Those who <br />meet the criteria complete a well-being assessment that takes all social <br />determinants of health into consideration. The case manager completes a <br />budget with them and rent is applied so they do not pay more than 30% of <br />their income over the twelve months of eligibility. <br /> <br />Elizabeth Paul expressed her appreciation for the program and said she <br />could not afford to live if it weren’t for the Senior Rent Assistance <br />program. <br /> <br />Helen Wheeler said she was thankful for the help she received from the <br />program. <br /> <br />Judy Gonzalez said she was grateful for the Senior Rent Assistance <br />program and due to the assistance she was able to purchase herself a new <br />coat. <br /> <br />Betty Jones thanked the Board of County Commissioners for their <br />continued support of the Senior Rent Assistance program. <br /> <br />Margaret Fergus expressed her appreciation for the Senior Rent
