RATIFY SHADY BROOK MOBILE HOME PARK COMMISSIONERS Commissioner Jewell moved to ratify the Chairman’s signature on a letters to the residents of Shady Brook Mobile Home Park, noting one was provided in English and one in Spanish. Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. Chairman O’Brien explained that he signed the letter on 11/30/2016 due to the time sensitive nature of it and the need to get the letter out to the residents. Motion carried 3-0. LETTER ALTERNATE – TEANAWAY COMMUNITY FOREST COMMISSIONERS Commissioner Jewell moved to direct Staff to prepare a letter for Chairman O’Brien’s signature notifying the Department of Natural Resources that Commissioner Osiadacz would be the Alternate for Kittitas County on the Teanaway Community Forest Advisory Committee. Commissioner Osiadacz seconded. Commissioner Osiadacz felt that it was important for her to participate in the Committee as it’s something impacting a large amount of her District. Motion carried 3-0. UPDATE BOCC/DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS COMMISSIONERS Each Commissioner was assigned three different Department Heads to meet with on a weekly basis. This was determined at a Special Meeting with the Board of County Commissioners held on June 18, 2009. Each Commissioner reviewed discussions held with their respective departments and exchanged details of those meetings. On January 3, 2011 the Board determined it would be beneficial to alternate Commissioners that will oversee the different Department Head’s on an annual basis. They determined at the end of 2013 they would review the various committees they participate in and provide beneficial updates to the Board as needed during this time as well.
