Papineau has <br />contacted a local attorney and we anticipate a counter offer soon. <br />County Surveyor Turnbull has examined dedication easement documents for <br />Schaake and does not believe we have an ironclad right to set the levee back. <br />We are pursuing resolution through Bureau of Reclamation real estate staff. <br />Providing Lower Yakima funds, the current grant accounting burden will worsen <br />for Public Works. Financial Systems Manager Jurgens is currently servicing <br />multiple grants. Public Works will likely request time with the Board and Human <br />Resources (HR) for a discussion regarding financial staff resources in the near <br />future.
