~ OFFICE OF THE CITY MANAGER
501 North Anderson Street
cavy of Ellensburg, Washington 98926

S' Telephone: (509) 962-7221 Fax: (509) 962-7143MUG
June 14, 2016
Mr. Craig Smith, Chairman
Ellensburg Business Development Authority
P.O. Box 598
609 N. Main Street
Ellensburg, WA 98926
Re: EBDA Application to the Kittitas County
Distressed County Sales Tax Grant Program
Dear Mr. Smith:
Please accept this letter as confirmation of the City of Ellensburg's support for the Ellensburg
Business Development Authority's application to the Distressed County Sales Tax Grant
Program. The EBDA request to replace the roof on the business incubator is critical to the
continued successful business development work that has occurred since the incubator was
established.
Since inception the incubator has served as the springboard to a number of manufacturing
interests that remain successful today. Jobs created through this program continue to expand
with successful businesses like Wood Products NW and Iron Horse Brewery. With the
requested maintenance and continued stewardship of the EBDA the incubator will enhance
the ability for the creation and growth of small business in the area.
Thank you for the opportunity to comment on your application.
Truly,
i Akers
Manager
