ROAD AND BRIDGE DESIGN <br />Sargent will prepare the design to improve the road by removing the existing bridge and installing a new <br />bridge. Sargent Engineers will prepare the design for the bridge. The design will follow the requirements of <br />the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design Specifications. <br />PLANS <br />Sargent Engineers will prepare the plans for the replacement of the bridge. The plans will follow the format <br />that the County desires. They shall include at a minimum: <br />• Cover Sheet <br />• Quantities Sheet <br />• Roadway Layout Sheet <br />• Roadway Details <br />• Bridge Layout <br />• Foundation Plan <br />• Abutment Details <br />• Framing Plan <br />• Girder Details <br />• Guard Rail Details <br />SPECIFICATIONS <br />Sargent Engineers will prepare the specifications in WSDOT format using WSDOT bid items. <br />ESTIMATE <br />Sargent Engineers will prepare an estimate for the project. <br />LOAD RATING <br />Sargent Engineers will prepare a load rating that conforms to Chapter 13 of the WSDOT Bridge Design <br />Manual. <br />AS BUILT PLANS <br />Once the project is complete, as -built plans will be prepared for the bridge. <br />Sargent will submit plans for review to the County at the 60%, and 90% stages for review and comment. <br />BIDDING AND CONSTRUCTION ADMINISTRATION <br />The County will conduct the bidding and administer construction. <br />Page 5 <br />
