Exhibit A
Scope of Work
This project involves the improvement of No. 6 Road by replacing the bridge over Towne Ditch. The
Consultant will survey the site, perform a geotechnical investigation, obtain the environmental permits,
evaluate the scour at the bridge, and prepare the contract documents for replacing the bridge. This project
is being funded by CRAB.
LAND SURVEYING
Gray and Osborne will perform the land survey.
Task 1: Topographic Survey
Objective: To obtain vertical and horizontal control necessary for design of replacement of No. 6 Road
Bridge. The work shall include identifying existing bridge, utilities, topography, road alignment, and other
related site topography.
1. Establish vertical and horizontal control for survey and mapping at a scale of 1 "=20' horizontal.
Control shall be referenced to the Washington State Plane coordinate system NAD 83/11,
NAVD88.
2. Acquire topographical and planimetric survey of site (right-of-way to right -of way, + 25 feet each
side) to include establishing surface grades and grade breaks, ditch profiles, pavement edges,
utility poles, hydrants, valves, fences, trees, significant landscaping, existing driveways, mailboxes,
road signs, road channelization, and existing utilities as located in sufficient detail to support
adequate design.
3. Acquire "off-site" survey of No. 6 Rd (to approximately 250 feet beyond existing bridge) to facilitate
bridge approach and pavement transitions.
4. Notify 1 -call and obtain topographic survey of located utilities.
5. Provide electronic survey data in Civil3D 2014 format containing survey points with descriptions,
lines, layers, grade lines, and symbols provided by Gray & Osborne, Inc.
Task 2: Right of Way and Property Boundary Determination
1. Acquire public "records of survey plat maps, assessor maps, "as-builts", etc. as may be available.
2. Physically locate available local monumentation and fix to project control to accurately tie record
boundary surveys and information to project datum.
3. Obtain title reports in the form of Subdivision Guarantees for the 4 properties directly adjacent to
the site identifying last known deed, ownership, and existing easements and encumbrances that
may affect the project area.
4. Provide electronic boundary data in Civil3D 2014 format containing right of way margins, adjacent
parcel boundaries, County parcel numbers, house numbers and pertinent notes on survey
methodology.
Services not included under this task
1. Any services associated with acquisition of property or staking of right of way.
Page 1
