Scope of Work <br />ENVIRONMENTAL PERMITTING <br />Widener will assemble and organize all necessary environmental permit applications to a standard <br />acceptable by the permitting agencies. Anticipated permits include the following: <br />1. JARPA <br />2. USACE Section 404 Permit <br />3. Water Quality Management Plan <br />Permit applications shall include all requested information, such as application forms, all necessary permit <br />drawings, an attachment describing project location, project purpose and need, alternatives considered, <br />and a summary of project impacts. Widener shall also provide a draft transmittal letter for submittal of the <br />application by the County. Draft applications, including supporting information, shall be submitted to the <br />County for review and comment. Revised permit applications shall be provided to the County for signature <br />and submittal to permitting agencies. Widener shall perform the necessary coordination to obtain the <br />permits. The Water Quality Management Plan will be developed to ensure the project meets the 401 water <br />quality standards allowing for the 401 certification process to be waived. <br />BRIDGE DESIGN <br />Sargent Engineers will revise the design for the bridge to include cast in place concrete spread footing <br />abutments and wingwalls. The design will follow the requirements of the AASHTO LRFD Bridge Design <br />Specifications. <br />PLANS <br />Sargent Engineers will update the plans for the replacement of the bridge. The following will be updated: <br />• Quantities Sheet <br />• Bridge Layout <br />• Foundation Plan <br />• Abutment Details <br />BID DOCUMENTS <br />The bid documents will be updated for the spread footing abutments. <br />Page 1 <br />
