BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2016 - <br />AUTHORIZATION FOR A CALL FOR BIDS — SILICA ROAD BRIDGE PROCUREMENT <br />WHEREAS: The Silica Road bridge was recently removed by order of the Kittitas County <br />Road Engineer for safety considerations; and <br />WHEREAS: The Silica Road bridge is infrequently used by the Public Utility District No. 1, <br />Kittitas Valley Fire and Rescue and Kittitas Reclamation District for occasional <br />access to the Yakima Training Center; and <br />WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners desire re-establishing access to the Yakima <br />Training Center at Silica Road; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the Board of County Commissioners, in the best <br />interest of the public, does hereby authorize the Director of Public Works to issue a call for bids <br />supporting procurement of a replacement metal bridge at the end of Silica Road. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Director of Public Works is authorized to sign the <br />contract documents upon such terms and conditions specified in the Proposal submitted by said <br />bidder(s). <br />DATED this 27th day of June, 2016, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Obie O'Brien, Chairman <br />Paul Jewell, Vice -Chairman <br />Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner <br />
