JULY 5, 2016 <br /> <br />Board members present: Chairman Obie O’Brien; Vice-Chairman Paul <br />Jewell and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Neil Caulkins, Deputy <br />Prosecutor; Jeff Watson, Staff Planner; Mark Cook, Public Works <br />Director; Jim Goeben, IT Director; Margo Cordner, Lunch Box Café <br />owner; and 2 members of the public. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARING LEASE – LUNCH BOX CAFÉ COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />At 2:00 p.m. CHAIRMAN O’BRIEN opened a Public Hearing to consider an <br />Assignment of Lease and Lease Extension for property located at 409 <br />N. Ruby Street Ellensburg, WA (Map Number 17-18-0250-1209). <br /> <br />NEIL CAULKINS, DEPUTY PROSECUTOR reviewed a request received for a <br />Lease Addendum and Lease Extension. Rosalind Eldridge was moving out <br />of town and selling her business to Margo Cordner. Ms. Cordner is <br />requesting to continue operating business as the Lunch Box Café and <br />has requested that the County assign the current Lease to her <br />through July 31, 2016. In addition she would like to obtain a Lease <br />Extension for another 5 years upon the expiration of the current <br />lease that ends in July 2017. <br /> <br />THERE BEING NO ONE REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE <br />HEARING WAS CLOSED. <br /> <br />LEASE ADDENDUM LUNCH BOX CAFÉ COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER JEWELL moved to approve a Commercial Building Lease <br />Addendum between Kittitas County and Margo Cordner (d/b/a Lunch Box <br />Café) noting all terms, covenants and conditions set forth in the <br />Lease dated July 1, 2012 are to be kept and performed through July <br />31, 2017. COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> <br />LEASE LUNCH BOX CAFÉ COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br />COMMISSIONER JEWELL moved to approve a Commercial Building Lease <br />Addendum between Kittitas County and Margo Cordner (d/b/a Lunch Box <br />Café) beginning August 1, 2017 through August 30, 2022, for property <br />located at the North ½ of Lot 7, All of Lots 8, 9 and 10, Block 12, <br />Ellensburg as per Plat Thereof Recorded in Book 1 of Plats, Page 1, <br />Records of Kittitas County, State of Washington. COMMISSIONER <br />OSAIDACZ seconded. Motion carried 3-0.
