COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />BOCC CONFERENCE ROOM <br />REGULAR MEETING <br />Tuesday 2:00 PM , 2016 <br />Board members present: Obie O'Brien, Paul Jewell, Laura Osiadacz <br />Others: Patti Johnson, Lisa Lawrence <br />Absent: Mickey Webb <br />REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS <br />Meeting called to order at 2:04 <br />Solid Waste - Septage Lagoon Update: Patti Johnson informed the <br />Board that documents were ready to go out for the repair of the <br />Lagoon and that she is working off of the Small Works Roster. <br />Discussion was held on the lagoon being dry enough to repair now <br />with a new liner. Further discussion was held on cleaning the <br />lagoons next week and DOE approval for land application. <br />Maintenance - Fill Maintenance Specialist Position: Patti <br />informed the Board the position had been filled in-house and <br />that she is working with Paula Hoctor on a background check. <br />Discussion was held on the first candidate turning the position <br />down because they couldn't afford the pay cut unless they <br />started at the top of the pay scale. Further discussion was held <br />on the level of the background check needed and how the position <br />will work inside the jail. <br />Maintenance - Fill Open Position: Patti informed the Board they <br />would be seeing the Maintenance Tech I position post soon to <br />back fill in the Department. <br />Maintenance - City Power Project: Patti informed the Board that <br />the City is doing prep work to add the new lines and switch over <br />to the new transformer and that the outage is scheduled for <br />Thursday at 6:00pm. Discussion included IT being on standby, the <br />City replacing trees if needed and doing the Jail circuit <br />portion in two weeks. <br />
