SECTION B. PRODUCT INFORMATION <br />1. Briefly describe all manufacturing processes and products, and/or commercial activities at this <br />facility. Provide the applicable Standard Industrial Category (SIC) and the North American Industry <br />Classification System (NAICS) Code(s) for each activity (see North American Industrial <br />Classification System, 2007 ed.). You can find the 1997 NAICS codes and the corresponding 1987 <br />Standard Industry Category (SIC) codes at (hftp://www.census.4ov/epcd/naics/frames3.htm). <br />Description: The Ryegrass Facility consist of one 500,000 gallon Liquid waste evaporation pond and two <br />500,000 gallon septage evaporation ponds. There is an East Leachate Pond that is permitted to accept <br />only landfill leachate. This East Leachate pond is operated under the Agreed Order for the closed landfill <br />and is not considered with in the permit renewal. The West Leachate pond is permitted to accept tranfer <br />station leachate, Pautzke Bait company process wastewater and septage superstate. We would also like to <br />accept other wastewater from approved projects. All of the wastewater added to the pond evaporates <br />within a 12 month cycle. These waste streams are added to the pond in batches. In the fall and spring of <br />each year septage superrnate is added to the west leachate pond to prevent overflow of the septage ponds <br />and allows for additional septage disposal.
