Article H. <br />Name and Purpose <br />Section 1. <br />Name: The name of the association is SHADY ACRES HOMEOWNERS' <br />ASSOCIATION, a Washington Nonprofit Corporation. It is sometimes referred to <br />hereafter as the "Association". <br />Section 2. <br />Purpose: The purpose of the Shady Acres Homeowners' Association is to ensure <br />the integrity of our community through the conservation of affordable housing. <br />We believe in fostering the development of a community in which residents of all <br />ages are cared for and supported. We do this by working together to identify <br />common goals through a transparent, inclusive process that promotes and <br />encourages community participation at all levels. <br />Article 11. <br />Membership <br />Section 1. <br />Membership: There shall be two classes of Members in the Association, voting <br />and non-voting members. The aggregate number of Members shall be limited to <br />one (1) Member for each defined household. To be eligible to be a member, one <br />must reside within the geographical area located on 1200 E. University Way, <br />Ellensburg, WA 98926. <br />Section 2. <br />Classes of Members: The Association shall have two (2) classes of members: <br />voting and nonvoting. (1) Residents who are homeowners, named in the rental <br />agreement and who can show proof of ownership, shall be entitled to one vote <br />per household. Voting members must be current on membership dues for the <br />year. (2) Residents who rent their homes shall be non-voting members. Non- <br />voting members may share ideas and opinions, but may not vote. They must also <br />be current in membership dues for the year, in order to attend HOA meetings. <br />All voting and non-voting members must be 18 years of age or older. <br />Members shall be entitled to all of the rights and benefits and shall be subject to <br />all of the duties and obligations, provided for in these By -Laws, the Articles of <br />Incorporation of the Association, the Rules and Regulations of the Association, <br />Declarations, and restrictions encumbering the Park. <br />Updated: lune 2018 1 <br />
