BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KI TTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2019 - <br />AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC WORDS TO AUTHORIZE A NOTICE <br />OF CALL FOR BIDS FOR WEIIIL ROAD IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT <br />WHEREAS: Weihl Road Improvement District No. 2018-01 was formulated by the Kittitas <br />County Board of County Commissioners with Ordinance 2018-020; and <br />WHEREAS: The Weihl Road improvement project is an adopted project on the Public Works <br />2019 annual construction program; and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works has prepared a plans, specification and engineering package for <br />impmving Weihl Road for contractor review and bid submittal; and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works has prepared an Invitation to Bid and proposes advertising the <br />project in the Daily Journal of Commerce and the local paper of record for two <br />consecutive weeks (05/16 and 05/23); <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public, does hereby issue an Invitation to Bid supporting Weihl Road <br />Improvements and directs that the project be advertised for two consecutive weeks (05/16 and <br />05/23) in the Daily Journal of Commerce and in the local paper of record. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Public Works is directed to open bids on Wednesday, <br />May 29, 2019 at 2:00 PM at the office of the Department of Public Works, 411 North Ruby <br />Street, Suite 1, Ellensburg, Washington, to be publicly read aloud after 2:00 PM on Wednesday, <br />May 29, 2019, in the Department of Public Works, Ellensburg, Washington. <br />DATED this 13th day of May, 2019, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Cory Wright, Chairman <br />Attest <br />Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />Brett Wachsmith, Vice -Chairman <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner <br />
