BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2019 - <br />EXTENDING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR AS INTERIM COUNTY ROAD <br />ENGINEER FOR AN ADDITIONAL SIX MONTHS ENDING NOVEMBER 13, 2019 <br />WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners appointed the Public Works Director as <br />Interim County Road Engineer pursuant to Resolution 2.018-066; and <br />WHEREAS: The Board of County Commissioners reappointed the Public Works Director as <br />Interim County Road Engineer for an additional six months pursuant to <br />Resolution 2018-159 the term of which appointment terminates on May 23, 2019; <br />and <br />WHEREAS: Public Works has continued with the solicitation process for hiring a County Road <br />Engineer and the process is ongoing; and <br />WHEREAS: The continued hiring process is expected to exceed the extension date of May 23, <br />2019 established by the Board with Resolution 2018-159 for hiring a full time <br />replacement County Road Engineer; <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of County Commissioners, in the <br />best interest of the public, does hereby extend the Public Works Director as Interim County <br />Engineer for an additional period of six months ending on November 13, 2019. <br />DATED this 13th day of May, 2019, at Ellensburg, Washington. <br />BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASIENGTON <br />Cory Wright, Chairman <br />Attest: <br />❑ Clerk of the Board- Julie Kjorsvik <br />Brett Wachsmith, Vice -Chairman <br />❑ Deputy Clerk of the Board- Mandy Buchholz <br />Laura Osiadacz, Commissioner <br />
