05/07/2019 MINUTES 1 <br />COMMISSIONERS' MINUTES KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON COMMISSIONERS AUDITORIUM SPECIAL MEETING <br /> TUESDAY 2:00 P.M. MAY 7, 2019 <br />Board members present: Chairman Cory Wright; Vice-Chairman Brett <br />Wachsmith and Commissioner Laura Osiadacz. <br /> <br />Others: Julie Kjorsvik, Clerk of the Board; Dan Carlson, CDS <br />Director; Lindsey Ozbolt, Planning Official; Dusty Pilkington, Staff <br />Planner; Mike Flory, Building Official and 3 members of the public. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING SUNCADIA PHASE 2 DIVISION 5 CDS <br /> <br />At 2:00 p.m. CHAIRMAN WRIGHT opened a Public Hearing to consider <br />Preliminary Approval of the Suncadia Phase 2, Division 5 (LP-19- <br />00001). <br /> DUSTY PILKINGTON, STAFF PLANNER reviewed a power-point presentation <br />which included the history and overview of the proposal. BRIANNE KELSEY, REPRESENTING THE APPLICANT said she would be available to <br />the Board for any questions they may have. LINDSEY OZBOLT, PLANNING OFFICIAL reviewed the process of Preliminary Plats in the Master <br />Planned Resort. <br /> THOSE PRESENT & TESTIFYING: STEVE JAFFE said he was a resident of <br />Coal Mine Way and representing 28 residents in that area. He <br />submitted information into the record and expressed safety concerns <br />of the proposal relating to traffic and access. BONNIE JACKSON said <br />she was a resident of Evergreen Valley and expressed concerns <br />relating safety and health issues from the noise and dust from <br />increased traffic and projects nearby. THERE BEING NO OTHERS REQUESTING TO TESTIFY, THE PUBLIC PORTION OF THE HEARING WAS CLOSED. STEVE LATHROP, REPRESENTING THE APPLICANT provided a brief history <br />of the development of the land and the roads within the area. <br /> COMMISSIONER WACHSMITH moved to approve the Suncadia Phase 2, <br />Division 5 (LP-19-00001), as conditioned. COMMISSIONER OSIADACZ <br />seconded. Motion carried 3-0. <br /> PUBLIC HEARING TITLE 9 & TITLE 20 CDS <br /> <br />At 2:41 p.m. CHAIRMAN WRIGHT opened a Public Hearing to consider <br />Amendments to Kittitas County Code Title 9 and Title 20. <br /> DAN CARLSON, CDS DIRECTOR reviewed and recommended approval of the <br />proposed amendments to Kittitas County Code Title 9 and Title 20.
