Board of Health Minutes <br />March 29,2019 <br />3 of4 <br />not reverse overdose,it only reverses the effects of overdose,and that 2018 overdose numbers were <br />primarily for overdosesof prescription drugs. <br />National Public Health Week Resolution <br />Tristen Lamb asked for approval for the resolution the recognize April lst through April 5th,2019 as <br />National Public Health Week. <br />Motion to approve Resolution 2019-001 to recognize April 16'through April 5 ,2019 as National Public <br />Health Week. <br />Motion 03-02:Motion to approve Resolution2019-0001 to recognize April 1"through April 5th,2019 <br />as National Public Health Week.Dr.Asriel moved to approve Resolution to recognize April 1"* <br />through April 5th,2019 as National Public Health Week.Rich Elliot second.All approved.Motion <br />03-02 carried to approve to approve Resolution 2019-001 to recognize April 1'*through April 5th <br />2019 as National Public Health Week <br />Health Youth SurveY <br />Amy Fuller stepped to the microphone to give a brief background on the health youth survey,and why it <br />is performed.She then presented data on for the following four categories of the survey: <br />•Alcohol,Tobacco and Other Drug Use <br />•Health and Health Related Behaviors <br />•Safety and Violence Behaviors <br />•Risk and Protective Factors <br />There was some discussion about the data and possible ways to improve some of the problem areas.There <br />was a request for more specific breakdowns of data in certain categories. <br />DD Update <br />Tristen Lamb briefly reviewed some developmental disabilities program updates.Monitoring dates have <br />been set for all employment and day service agencies.Bright Beginnings is officially now under Yakima <br />Children's hospital.Kittitas Valley Opportunities/Parent to Parent has lost United Way funding,and it is <br />likely KCPHD will be able to support the deficit.Yakima Specialties is re-evaluating their ability to <br />provide services in Kittitas County,and will be providing us with a number of clients they would need to <br />maintain services here. <br />Request for ioint BOCC/BOH Public Hearing for Water Resources Program Updates <br />Tristen Lamb asked the board for approval for a joint BOCC/BOH public hearing to approve changes to <br />the Water Resources Program,which are mostly language changes. <br />Motion 03-03:Motion to approve request for joint BOCC/BOH public hearing on Thursday April <br />18,2019 for Water Resources Program Updates.Rich Elliott moved to request for joint <br />BOCC/BOH public hearing on Thursday April 18,2019for Water Resources Program Updates. <br />Laura Osiadacz second.All approved.Motion 03-03 carried to approve request for joint <br />BOCC/BOH public hearing on Thursday April 18,2019 for Water Resources Program Updates. <br />Request for joint BOCC/BOH Publie Hearing for 2019 Fee Schedule Updates <br />Tristen Lamb asked the board for approval for a joint BOCC/BOH public hearing to approve the 2019 <br />Kittitas County Public Health Fee Schedule. <br />Motion 03-04:Motion to approve request for joint BOCC/BOH public hearing on Thursday April <br />18,2019to approve the2019 Kittitas County Public Health Fee Schedule.Rich Elliott moved to <br />request for joint BOCC/BOH public hearing on Thursday April 18,2019 to approve the 2019 <br />Kittitas County Public Health Fee Schedule.Laura Osiadacz second.All approved.Motion 03-04
