Mark Cook added that annually Public Works <br />has a budget for path and trails; however, he does not have a cost on <br />this project yet. Discussion was held. Staff was directed to scone <br />the projects and brief the Coalmine Trails Committee of the projects <br />as well. <br />I-976 UPDATE <br />Mark Cook provided background on I-976 and the action voters took to <br />implement thirty (30) dollar vehicle tabs. Mark Cook stated that King <br />County and City of Seattle filed an injunction to stop the initiative <br />and Superior Court ruled in favor of the injunction. Mark Cook added <br />that Governor Inslee noticed the Secretary of Transportation that <br />projects that haven't been implemented were to be placed on hold until <br />further notice. Mark Cook stated that this includes the I-90 widening <br />project from Easton to Snoqualmie Pass. Discussion was held. <br />EXECUTIVE SESSION <br />At 2:26 pm Chairman Cory Wright announced the Board along with Mark <br />Cook, Public Works Director would enter into an Executive Session to <br />consider the selection of a site or the acquisition of real estate by <br />lease or purchase when public knowledge regarding such consideration <br />would cause a likelihogd of increased price. <br />At 2:41 pm the Board reconvened out of Executive Session and stated an <br />additional ten (10) minutes was needed for further discussion. <br />At 2:51 the Board reconvened out of Executive Session and staff was <br />directed to pursue discussions of possible acquisition. <br />Meeting adjourned at 2:53 pm, <br />2019-12-09 MINUTES <br />KITTITAS COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />KITTITAS COUNTY, WASHINGTON <br />Cory Wright, Chairman <br />
