CENTURY
"41/h/FWEST
E N G I N E E R 1 N G
issue the Section 401 Water Quality Certification in advance of the Corps Section 404 Individual Permit.
Public noticing and coordination with stakeholders and Tribes is also required for the Individual Permit.
Thus, the overall timeline for securing the required permits for the proposed airfield improvements is
anticipated to be between 12 and 24 months.
Advanced Engineering Design & environmental investigation Needed to Complete NEPA Analysis.
4. PERMIT SUBMITTAL REQUIREMENTS
Environmental permits relevant to the proposed improvements will need to be submitted to the
approving agencies before the Draft EA can be published and released for public comment. Due to
unanticipated and unavoidable wetland and floodway impacts, these permit applications will require -a
greater level of design than included in the original scope of work. The necessary permit applications
require that the following materials be addressed to a level that is sufficient for approval by the
regulatory authorities and will not subsequently require substantive changes, as the project schedule
cannot support revising or resubmitting the permit application. To prepare permit applications that meet
the needs of the regulatory authorities, additional design effort is required for some project components.
TABLE 1 provides a list of the submittal requirements for anticipated permits, indicates if the permit
application was included in the original scope of work, and the level of design needed to prepare each
component of the permit application.
TABLE 1.
