Alterations (Section XV). <br />In addition, Jacobs will prepare language and an electronic document to address two new issues not <br />apparent in the Waste Management agreement: <br />• Language that allows for an "opener" once the new transfer station is operational including <br />potential for adjusting the type and amount of contractor compensation. <br />• A simple electronic calculator (in Microsoft Excel) that will be distributed with the Request for <br />Bid (RFB) that calculates the price of each submittal (based on quantities proposed by the <br />County and prices provided by the submitting company). <br />Jacobs will provide support during the RFB process related to questions and answers, preparing <br />addenda, and calculating bid prices on a time and materials basis up to a total of 32 hours at Senior <br />Technical Advisor rate. <br />Assumptions <br />• Services will be procured using a RFB or similar process rather than a Request for Proposal <br />process. <br />• Jacobs will provide comments and proposed language for the sections noted above. All other <br />sections will be the responsibility of the County. <br />• The County will decide on its preferred strategy for each procurement issue as discussed above; <br />additional iterations will be considered out of scope. <br />• No travel to Kittitas County will be required by Jacobs staff. <br />Deliverables <br />• Ideas and options related to the RFB sections outlined in the scope of work. <br />• One draft of language for the RFB sections outlined in the scope of work. <br />• After discussion of County comments on the draft language, one final set of language for the <br />RFB. <br />Task 10: Unplanned/Unanticipated Critical Tasks <br />This task is to ensure that continuous service shall be provide to the County for any known unidentified <br />tasks which may require the services of Jacobs. This task is to provide other consultant services, which <br />are unplanned, urgent, and/or critical to maintaining the project schedule or progress of the work. <br />Jacobs should plan for the following to address this work area: up to 100 hours. Jacobs shall provide <br />services as requested and directed by the County representative. <br />Any work under this task requires specific prior written authorization from the County. Written <br />authorization may be granted only after Jacobs submits both a written scope and cost for the additional <br />work, which is reviewed and specifically negotiated by the County representative. <br />
