added that a task order with Century West Engineering should be <br />drafted to allow for the design of utilities to the structure and for <br />future development at Bowers Field. Discussion was held. Staff was <br />directed to secure the modular building for placement and authorize <br />Century West Engineering in drafting a task order for utility design. <br />REECER CREEK FLOOD MAPPING UPDATE <br />Mark Cook reported that staff met recently with the City of Ellensburg <br />to discuss the remapping of Reecer Creek. Mark Cook gave background <br />on the modeling efforts that are being done in the area and the use of <br />the model that excludes the setback levee that the City of Ellensburg <br />constructed due to the levee not being built to US Army Corp of <br />Engineer standards. Mark Cook continued that the FEMA Starr Team is <br />close to finalizing maps for approval. Discussion was held. Staff <br />was directed to update the Board once the draft maps are finalized. <br />OTHER BUSINESS - SUNCADIA EASEMENT ASSIGNMENT <br />Mark Cook stated that he received an email from Steve Lathrop, <br />Attorney for Suncadia on Sunday afternoon requesting a discussion at <br />today's study session regarding an easement assignment. Mark Cook <br />continued that he has not been able to fully review the document or <br />request for action. Jeff Slothower was present and stated that <br />Suncadia needs to have Kittitas County execute an Easement Assignment <br />to transfer Suncadia's utility companies to a third party.
