Staff was directed <br />to pursue the two (2) year real estate purchase option agreement. <br />WATER RESOURCE PROGRAM OBJECTIVES AND ACQUISTIONS PRIORITIES <br />Mark Cook introduced Arden Thomas to present this item. <br />Arden Thomas stated that staff has developed a plan of program <br />objectives and presented a draft outline to the Board for review. <br />Arden Thomas explained key points of the document including <br />priorities going forward and strategies for the water program. <br />Discussion was held. The two (2) Board members in attendance stated <br />they are in support of the document with minor adjustments and to <br />present to stakeholders for comments. Staff was directed to bring <br />back the documents once complete. <br />SNOQUALMIE PASS UTILITY DISTRICT WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT <br />Mark Cook reported that he recently met with Tom Hastings from <br />Snoqualmie Pass Utility District (SPUD) and their consultant, HLA, to <br />discuss the wastewater treatment plan project. Mark Cook stated that <br />after further research it states in enabling legislation that this <br />type of project does qualify for Public Facilities funding. SPUD is <br />requesting two hundred and fifty thousand ($250,000) of this funding <br />to assist in the design of the project. Mark Cook continued that <br />with this project a new type of water right is being established <br />which will benefit Kittitas County and provide fish recovery and <br />habitat for Bull Trout. Discussion was held. <br />OTHER BUSINESS: <br />MUDSLIDE AT MORGAN CREEK: <br />Mark Cook stated that Saturday afternoon he received a call from <br />Darren Higashiyama from the Sheriff's Office regarding a mudslide in <br />the Morgan Creek development. Mark Cook presented photos and <br />explained that this area is private development with a private road <br />network. Mark Cook added that he is waiting to hear from the <br />Sheriff's Office on next steps. <br />2020-02-10 MINUTES <br />
