KITTITAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />STUDY SESSION STAFF REPORT <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: February 24, 2020 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Notice of Call for Sealed <br />Bids for the Upper County Maintenance <br />Facility. <br />BACKGROUND: Public Works is ready to issue a call for <br />construction bids supporting the new Upper <br />County Maintenance Facility on No. 5 Mine <br />Road. <br />INTERACTION: <br />The bid package will include bid requests for <br />several of the key structures being proposed at <br />the new site. <br />Call for bids are advertised in the County's <br />newspaper of record and the Daily Journal of <br />Commerce. <br />Bids are scheduled to be opened on March 12, <br />2020 at 10:00 a.m. in the Public Works <br />Department. <br />Public Works. <br />RECOMMENDATION: Move to approve Notice of Call for Sealed Bids <br />for constructing the Upper County Maintenance <br />Facility and direct staff to advertise as <br />requested. <br />HANDLING: Return one (1) copy to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Notice of Call for Sealed Bids. <br />LEAD STAFF- Mark Cook <br />Director of Public Works <br />
