MARCH 17, 2020 <br />Board members present: Chairman Brett Wachsmith, Vice-Chair Laura <br />Osiadacz, and Commissioner Cory Wright. <br /> Others: Taylor Crouch, Deputy Clerk of the Board I; Julie Kjorsvik, <br />Clerk of the Board; Jim Goeben, IT Director; Lisa Young, Human <br />Resource Director; Jerry Pettit, Auditor; Amy Cziske, Treasurer; <br />Lisa Murray, Administrative Supervisor; Paul Sander, Lower District <br />Court Judge; Darren Higashiyama, Chief Deputy; Tristen Lamb, Public <br />Health Administrator; Dr. Mark Larson, Public Health Official; Nick <br />Henderson, Coroner; Patti Johnson, Solid Waste Director/Interim <br />Maintenance Director/Project Manager; Mark Cook, Public Works <br />Director/Interim Engineer; Kady Porterfield, Event Center Director; <br />Mike Hougardy, Assessor; Katrina Mankus, Juvenile Court <br />Administrator; and Barbara Demory, Lower District Court <br />Administrator. <br /> <br />Via Phone: Todd Davis, Noxious Weed Director <br /> SPECIAL MEETING FOLLOW-UP COVID-19 PLANNING COMMISSIONERS <br />At 11:00 a.m. Chairman Wachsmith opened a Special Meeting to <br />consider planning for COVID-19. <br />The Board and Department Heads discussed how different departments <br />were planning to close to the public. <br /> <br />There was discussion on the separation of the Judicial structures in <br />the Courthouse and how they would have to remain open. <br /> <br />Kady Porterfield, KVEC Director stated that the Event Center is <br />closed until further notice via the State mandate. She has been <br />working with Staff to update vendors and customers. <br /> <br />The Board asked all Departments to determine what duties in their <br />offices were essential vs non-essential and to close non-essential <br />procedures. The Board also reminded all Staff to go through the <br />Clerk or Chairman directly for any information. The Chairman will <br />send a memo detailing this message. <br /> <br />Jim Goeben, IT Director gave an update on Telecommuting and noted <br />there are no licenses yet. Currently 2 appeals have gone unanswered. <br />IT got 12 more laptops to loan out. He asked departments to
