As the recipient of a 2014 COG grant, the City completed a Wastewater Collection System Planning Report to plan the sewer needs for the UGA area to enable economic development In the South Kms area. This application is meant to be another "leg of that prooess" for the purposes of providing City sower servioes to existing businesses south of Railroad Av- enue. The businesses in this area provide a sli I n al number of jobs. and sales tax revenue to the City and have expressed significant interest in remaining at #Wr current Iocatlons, dependent upon the City's implementation of delivering sewer service. Providing sewer service will also aid the City with compliance with the Department of Ecology for Industrial businesses In these locations. The City wid work with the Department of Ecology and the Department of Health In the planning and construction of the sewer improvements.
