KITTTTAS COUNTY <br />DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS <br />STUDY SESSION ,STAFF REPORT <br />STUDY SESSION DATE: April 13, 2020 <br />ACTION REQUESTED: Request to Approve a Resolution to Select Watershed <br />Science and Engineering and Northwest Hydraulic <br />Consultants for Hydraulics and Hydrology Professional <br />Services Contracts supporting Public Works for up to a <br />Three -Year Period <br />BACKGROUND: PW continues relying on hydraulic and hydrology <br />engineering consults absent a licensed County Engineer on <br />staff. On 01121/2020; the Department requested and <br />received permission from the Board to solicit for <br />professional services (consistent with state law and County <br />policy). Responders provided qualifications for review on <br />02/13/2020. Staff has completed review of responder <br />information and recommends the selection of Watershed <br />Science and Engineering and Northwest Hydraulic <br />Consultants for standard professional contracts_ The <br />contracts are in place for a two-year base period with a <br />third potential year if mutually agreed upon. <br />INTERACTION: Public Works, <br />RECON01ENDATION: Offer standard professional service contracts to Watershed <br />Science and Engineering and Northwest Hydraulic <br />Consultants for hydraulics and hydrology engineering <br />services. <br />HANDLING: Return one original to Public Works. <br />ATTACHMENTS: Resolution. <br />LEAD STAFF: Mark R.
