Indicated the Estimated Number of Short Term and/or Permanent Joy y the Project. <br />36 <br />6 <br />Assumptions/Justifications/Methodology/Calculations <br />In the shorter term, the City anticipates between 32 and 38 people will be employed during the five <br />months of this construction project: One general contractor with 7-8 employees and additional <br />subcontractors: <br />• Paving subcontractor: 8-10 employees <br />• Sidewalk/Curbing subcontractor: 8-10 employees <br />• Traffic control subcontractor: 4-5 employees <br />• Construction administration services: 5 employees <br />Indirectly, and in the longer term, the completion of First Street Stormwater and Billings Avenue to <br />Oakes Avenue Improvements will retain existing jobs (estimated at eight jobs per business within the <br />project limits; 600 total) and spur job creation as infill is experienced in vacant store fronts and <br />restaurants expand business hours to serve additional customers. Also indirectly, the project will <br />reduce the amount of unintended sanitary sewer I&I, allowing increased sewer system capacity for <br />new commercial connections. By providing capacity, businesses are encouraged to develop in this <br />tourist -oriented district, creating year-round job opportunities. <br />12 <br />
