Collaboration *Our collaborations include uorking with Chinook Entertainment and Chinook Fest,
and mutually beneficial relationships with twelve regional cider houses, a local
winery and a local craft brerlrlrery.
WSU's Master Cidermaker program has proven to be a great partner, and will
increase their involvementfor 2A20. KEEN is a member of the KCChamber of
Commerce and our all-voiunteer board brings connections with CWU, conservation
groups and dovnrtourn business ov\ners. CWU Recreation and Tourism program
will again be supportive, as will the Craft Brewing program.
E>qrected and hoped for but not realized yet is a partnership with the North West
Cider Association, the US regional organization promoting apples, groraers,
cidei"makeis and disii"ibuiors from the l'.loi'ih'u'"est thi"oughou., the nation. U/ith ihem,
Cidercraft, and WSU, we will be solidly set as a leader of cider events.
2500 character linit
5lFuture Plans
Please explain what plans exist to allow this project to become self-sustaining. lnclude any plans for ticket
sales, event sponsors, and other cost-recovery mociels.
Future Plans*We will do more research and identify more sponsorship deadlines, to secure
partnerships of that nature earlier. .
Tickei prices Wll increase incrementally, and ue will offer more facets that will
attract more atiendees.
Keeping great musicians is critical, and balancing wtrat's affordable with what's
exciting and attractive to ticket buyers, will continue to be something that \^E
monitor closely.
CiderCraft/Sip and NW Cider Association have both indicated that they uould
support (sponsor) a juried/competitive program, r,rvirich raould attract the very
highest quality products from around the State. NW Cider Assn may help us
negotiaie the pathuays to being able to offer out ofstate products. Beverage
competitions charge entry fees, and that uould increase our income and boost our
cachet. Which in turn vrould make us more attractive to sponsors.
2500 character linit
Application Questions: Parl 4
6l Additional lnformation
Provide any additional information which will assist the Lodging Tax Advisory Committee in evaluating your
project and its benefit to tourism.
*-
