Utilities -the supply, treatment and distribution, as appropriate, of domestic and irrigation water, sewage, <br />stormwater, natural gas, electricity, telephone, cable television, microwave transmissions and streets. <br />Such utilities consist of both the service activity along with the physical facilities necessary for the utilities <br />to be supplied . Utilities are supplied by a combination of general purpose local governments as well as <br />private and community based organizations. <br />Visioning -a process of citizen involvement to determine values and ideals for the future of a community <br />and to transform those values and ideals into manageable and feasible community goals. <br />Water System -any system providing a supply of potable water for the intended use of development, which <br />is deemed adequate pursuant to RCW 19.27.097. <br />WSDOT -Washington State Department ofTransportation. Kittitas County is located in the South Central <br />Region, whose office is in Union Gap. <br />Zoning -the demarcation of an area by ordinance (text and map) into zones, and the establishment of <br />regulations to govern the uses within those zones and the location, size, height, and coverage of <br />structures within each zone. <br />Page 152
