BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />COUNTY OF KITTITAS <br />STATE OF WASHINGTON <br />RESOLUTION <br />NO. 2018- v, <br />RESOLUTION AWARDING FUNDING FOR GRANTS PURSUANT TO LAW <br />AND JUSTICE COUNCIL RECOMMENDATIONS ON SPENDING OF 1/10TH <br />OF 1% SALES TAX RESERVES <br />WHEREAS: The Kittitas County Law and Justice Council met at their regularly <br />scheduled meeting on August 15, 2018, and voted unanimously to approve the below <br />described funding recommendations; and <br />WHEREAS: These expenditures shall be made from the 1!1 Oth of I% sales tax reserve <br />account established by the Board of County Commissioners for spending on special <br />projects to foster cooperation, sharing of resources and enhancement of criminal justice <br />projects within Kittitas County; and <br />WHEREAS: Funding is to be made available January 1, 2019 upon approval of this <br />resolution; and <br />WHEREAS: The amount available for 2019 grants is approximately $40,000.00; ander'" <br />WHEREAS: Estimated balance in the grant funds is approxirn ely $114,000.00 a <br />2018 Grant obligations and maintaining $50,000.00 in reserve for the Range Iect, and <br />WHEREAS: The grants described below are recommended for approval. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED: That the Kittitas County Board of <br />Commissioners hereby adopts the following funding recommendations as made by the <br />Kittitas County Law and Justice Council and these expenditures shall be made from the <br />1/10th of 1 % sales tax reserve account. <br />19-1 <br />Court Advocates for Children (CASA), $3,700.00 <br />$1,000 Advertising <br />$2,220 Training <br />$ 500 Background checks & Public Record Requests <br />19-2 <br />Community Builders $1,950.00 <br />For Youth Retreat Costs <br />$1,000 Lod -e Rental <br />$ 600 Food <br />$ 350 Supplies <br />
