This agreement will be for approximately two (2) years in duration with the option for the Kittitas County <br />Public Works to extend it for additional time and money if necessary. Consultants will be considered for the <br />following project. <br />The Kittitas County Public Works reserves the right to amend terms of this "Request for Qualifications" (RFQ) to <br />circulate various addenda, or to withdraw the RFQ at any time, regardless of how much time and effort <br />consultants have spent on their responses. <br />Proiect Description <br />The work to be performed by the CONSULTANT consists of performing Engineering and Environmental work <br />required for the completed design of the University Way and Reecer Creek Road Intersection Improvements <br />Project. The proposed intersection project includes the design of a new traffic signal at the intersection of <br />University Way and Reecer Creek Road including signal timing, vehicle detection, and ADA pedestrian <br />improvements. <br />• Street Improvement Design <br />• Traffic Signal Design including Accessible Pedestrian Signals and Vehicle Detection <br />• Traffic Signal Timing Design <br />• Design of ADA Pedestrian Crossing Improvements <br />• Complete a Biological Assessment and Cultural Resource Report for the project as required <br />• Environmental Analysis and Permitting <br />Submittal Evaluation Criteria <br />Submittals will be evaluated and ranked based on the following criteria: <br />1. Key personnel background and experience. <br />2. Overall PS&E experience. <br />3. Firms experience with design of street improvement projects especially in regards to intersections. <br />4. Firms experience with traffic signal design, signal timing, and design of ADA accessible pedestrian <br />improvements. <br />5. Firms experience with environmental reporting and permitting. <br />6. Eastern Washington design experience. <br />7. Familiarity with relevant codes and standards. <br />8. Past performance/references. <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
