Response 2.2: Lodging tax funds will be spent on Promotional Advertising ($7500), design and
Evidence* printing expenses for promotional materials to include staff labor, paper , postage,
and envelopes ($2500), Operating expenses including dirt, gravel, labor, safety
fencing and materials, spray paint, pipe, nails, gravel, cones etc. ($2000).
Contingency ($1500.00)
We project that ChillAxle will bring in 3375 people into Kittitas County approximately
420 people from more than 50 miles away from Kittitas County.
We are hoping they will come from as far away as Spokane, Seattle, Vancouver,
Tri -Cities, Wenatchee, and Moses Lake. For a first year (2018) our estimated
attendance exceeded 900 — 1200 people in 2018.
We project that this event will triple next year (2019).
We conducted two surveys during the course of our 2018 event sampling
approximately 1/20th of the audience and registrants.
The survey was completed by 45 people, this was a small sampling of the actual
attendance, (45 people surveyed' 1/20th of estimated actual attendance = 1125
overall in 2018. 1 project that more then 3000 will join us for the 2019 event on
Saturday June 29th, 2019.
We are hoping that this event can also encourage attendees to enjoy the Kittitas
County Farmers Market, and possibly Roslyn Farmers Market so that they can
make a whole weekend of Kittitas County.
We Wil market and promote this event to a voider audience as well as print, radio,
online, television, direct mailing, digital marketing, and poster promotional
advertising in more locations and implemented in stages.
With the data from the survey we can project that there will be approximately 240
people staying overnight in Kittitas County. This is based on discussions with the
RC Car racers, classic car show registrants, and audience members as well as the
completed survey questionnaire.
2500 character linit
Response 2.3: 3. or fromanother county or state outside of their place of residence or business.
Projection * Using the Survey responses we were not able to capture any audience members
that completed the survey that were from another county or state, but with the
increased reach from our promotional advertising campaign we are hoping for at
least 150 people arrive from out of state.
We believe that the location for this event is perfectly suited for a HUGE car show
and an event larger RC Car Race in years to come so we project that this number
will grow substantially if it is able to continue.
It will be out goal to target market the event to as far away as Spokane, and
Vancouver WA.
It will hopefully capture some attendees from other states as well.
2500 character lirrit
