Response 2.1; ChillAxle will bring in approximately 3375 people to our county.
Evidence *
Using the survey questionnaire I believe that 420 people Wll come from more than
50 miles away from Kittitas County. We are hoping they will come from as far away
as Spokane, Seattle, Vancouver, Tri -Cities, Wenatchee, and Moses Lake.
For a first year (2018) our estimated attendance exceeded 900 — 1200 people.
This event will triple in attendance next year (2019).
We conducted two surveys during the course of our 2018 event sampling
approximately 1/20th of the audience and registrants.
The 2018 survey was completed by 45 people this was a small sampling of the
actual attendance. (45 people surveyed' 1/20th of estimated actual attendance =
900-1200 overall. I project that
We will see over 3000 people on Saturday June 29th, 2019, and are aiming for
approximately 2700 - 3600 people to attend or participate in this event.
With the data from the survey we can project that there Wil be approximately 240
people staying overnight in Kittitas County.
This is based on discussions with the RC Car racers, classic car show registrants,
and audience members as well as the completed survey questionnaire, and other
events of this nature
2500 character lirrit
