Response 1: The Dachshunds German Fest will be a celebration of culture in Rotary Pavilion in Project/Event Downtown Ellensburg to coincide with the annual Dachshunds on Parade. To follow Description* with a German theme, German beer producer's, food eateries, food trucks, and German style performers will be invited to take part in this fun summer celebration of culture, heritage, and of course Dachshunds. This event will occur during the Dachshunds on Parade and after to help keep attendees downtown, walking through the Farmers Market and supporting our community through heads in beds, and shopping local. Many cultural events like these occur in Upper Kittitas County with very few occurring in Ellensburg's Downtown Core. We believe that adding a German Fest with Dachshunds on Parade will help draw a larger number of people to enjoy Dachshunds as well as the historic Downtown.
