Although transit was not explicitly analyzed as a part of this study, a TSys for Bus was <br />also created for future use. <br />One- or Two-way Direction <br />All links were checked for one- or two-way entry. Interstate 90 and Interstate 82 were <br />coded as pairs of one-way links in VISUTIM. Typically, freeways segments in modeling <br />are split into a pair of one-way links so that the difference in capacities and directional <br />splits can be modeled appropriately. On and off ramps for these facilities were also <br />coded as one-way links. <br />A one-way link is entered in VISUM by permitting only the car and truck transportation <br />systems (TSys-Car and TSys-Truck) to move in one direction and not the other. <br />Number of Lanes <br />This attribute is used in the VISUM model run to assign capacities to network links. It is <br />also used for display and for entering intersection geometry in VISUM. All model links <br />were checked for accuracy with this designation.
