Identify, review, and resolve <br />interjurisdictional transportation concerns <br />within or affecting Kittitas County. <br />4b. Work with WSDOT, QuadCo RTPO, cities <br />and neighboring counties to develop and <br />maintain a system of arterials, collectors <br />and local access roads. <br />4c. Coordinate transportation planning, <br />construction and maintenance efforts with <br />all affected agencies by developing joint <br />transportation standards for UGAs between <br />the County and the adjoining city or town. <br />4d. Seek partnerships with other public or <br />private agents when mutual benefits and <br />significant cost savings are anticipated as <br />result of a coordinated transportation <br />improvement project to maximize benefits <br />while minimizing costs. <br />4e. Actively participate on selected state, <br />regional and local transportation <br />committees. <br />4f. Ensure County plans and policies are <br />consistent with other plans and policies <br />within the region. <br />4g. Identify stakeholders and include them in <br />the decision-making process, and jointly <br />develop a process for resolving conflicts <br />between jurisdictions. <br />4h. Promote public information and <br />communication with businesses, <br />organizations, and individual citizens as part <br />of the transportation planning and decision- <br />making process. <br />Airports/Airfields: <br />4i. Protect Kittitas County Airport (Bowers <br />Field), Cle Elum Municipal, DeVere Field and <br />Easton State airports from adjacent <br />incompatible land uses and/or activities <br />that could impact the present or future use <br />of these or other public use airports as <br />essential public facilities. <br />4j. Recognize air transport and airports as an <br />important mode of the transportation <br />system and coordinate with FAA and <br />WSDOT Aviation Division. <br />4k.
