address storm water improvements through this area associated with the flooding of <br />Runway 11-29. <br />o An area 150' wide by 1,000', centered on the proposed connecting taxiway from <br />Taxiway B to Runway 25. <br />• Runway 11-29; <br />o An area 500' wide, centered on Runway 11-29 centerline (Runway is 4,300' long), <br />and 300' beyond threshold bar at RW 11, and 500' beyond threshold bar at RW 29. <br />Approximate total length of Runway 11-29 survey is 5,100'. <br />o Proposed connecting taxiway areas between the parallel taxiway and Runway 11-29 <br />will covered within the 500' wide area surveyed for Runway 11-29. <br />• Proposed Runway 11-29 parallel taxiway; <br />o An area 150' wide, centered on the proposed parallel taxiway, and southwest of the <br />area surveyed for Runway 11-29 (described above), and 300' beyond end of parallel <br />taxiway pavement at each end. Approximate length is 4,900'. <br />o An area 150' wide by 1,000', centered on the proposed connecting taxiway from <br />Runway 25 to the proposed parallel taxiway of Runway 11-29. <br />• Proposed hangar taxi lane area (4 acres). <br />• All storm structures and connecting storm pipe within airport property limits. <br />1) Establish horizontal (NAD 83(2011)) and vertical control (NAVD 88) for survey work at the airport. <br />Establish one benchmark for elevation control and a minimum of two additional points for horizontal <br />control. Utilize Airport PACs and/or SACs if available. <br />2) Conduct topographic surveying in the areas listed above to include: <br />a) Determine the location and elevation of each runway threshold; <br />b) Determine the location and elevation of each runway end of pavement; <br />c) Establish a centerline for the runways; <br />d) Collect survey points, at a 50' maximum interval, along the runway centerline; Vertical position <br />tolerance= 0.05'+/-. <br />e) Survey data for paved areas shall be collected on cross sections at a 25' max interval or a 25'x25' <br />max grid spacing. <br />f) Off pavement areas shall be collected on cross section at a 50' max interval or a 50'x50' max grid <br />spacing. <br />g) Document additional features including grade breaks, ditches, swales, slope top/toe, interface <br />between types of pavement (i.e., PCC and AC), pavement cuts, patches, and utility <br />patches/trenches. <br />h) The topographic survey shall show existing pavement striping/markings, edge lights and <br />reflectors, signs, ditches, swales, drainage structures, fences, buildings, tie-down anchors, <br />pavement edges (AC and PCC), gravel areas, utilities, test pits, pavement core locations, <br />NAVAIDS and other structures or surface features within the survey limits. <br />Bowers Field Airport Improvements EA <br />April 27, 2018 <br />5
