Approach: The Consultant will utilize the deliverables from Tasks 1.1 through 1.3 to develop a Proposed Action Summary and complementary figures. Products: Proposed action summary description and supporting figures. The draft Proposed Action Summary will be submitted to FAA for review and comment. Task 2.2 -Purpose and Need Objective: Define the Purpose and Need for the project. Approach: The Consultant will develop and refine the Purpose and Need for the proposed projects . The draft Purpose and Need will be submitted to FAA for review and comment. Products: Draft Purpose and Need summary. The draft Purpose and Need summary will be submitted to FAA for review and comment. Task 2.3 -Alternatives Objective: To summarize the alternatives evaluated and the process used to determine a preferred alternative for the proposed action. Approach: The Consultant will develop a summary of the alternatives evaluation process including the following alternatives: • Action (Preferred Alternative) • No Action Alternative • Alternatives Considered But Eliminated from Detailed Study The draft Alternatives summary will be submitted to FAA for review and comment. Products: Draft Alternatives summary description narrative and supporting figures. Detailed descriptions and figure identifying the preferred alternative. Task 2.4 -Topographical Survey Services Objective: Provide sufficient survey data to prepare a 25% preliminary design of the proposed improvements. Approach: A topographic survey of the following area will be conducted in the following area(s): • Runway 7-25; o An area 500' wide, centered on Runway 7-25 centerline, and 300' beyond the end of pavement at each threshold. Length of survey will include the existing full length of Runway 7-25 plus 300' off of each end.
