Away from their place of residence or business and staying overnght in paid acconnudations; <br />Lodging Tax funds would help increase attendance by allowing more advertising <br />coverage in areas over 50 miles of travel from Ellensburg <br />Basing our information on the recent past events through ticket sales, auction <br />sales, artists sales, independent surveys, survey by artists and greeters we <br />conclude that 53-55% of our attendees travel from their home or place of business <br />over 50 miles. <br />2.1 Projection <br />33-35% of our attendees travel over 50 miles and plan to spend the night in paid <br />accommodations. Factoring in the estimated increase in tourism of 3-5%* our <br />estimated number of people who will be traveling over 50 miles from their <br />home/business and spending the night in paid accommodations to be 260. Artists <br />spending the night in paid accommodations are estimated to be 140. <br />*information supplied by Tourism Dept. Kittitas <br />2500 character linit <br />Our evidence of attendance is based on sales; tickets and auction art, artist's <br />surveys, and our surveys. Many of our guests are returnees and we know where <br />they reside . We have artists and visitors from our western region and <br />neighboring country, Canada. <br />2500 character linit <br />As stated above, we know that 30% of our artists are from out of state/country and <br />our visitor information is based on our knowledge of our buyers and guests.
